DogCat Fund is a charity platform helping animal shelters raise funds, built as a contract project and launched in 2025. The brief wasn't "build a donation page," it was "maximize how many pets get helped," and that's a psychology problem as much as an engineering one.
The design decisions that actually matter
Recurring only. No one-time donations. A subscription compounds; a single tap doesn't.
Immediate, visible payoff. Every donation triggers a recorded video of a shelter cat eating, funded by that donation. Direct feedback, a little gamified, and a reason to come back.
As few taps as physically possible. Preset amounts sit right on the hero. Tap one and the payment sheet opens: Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a supported one-tap bank flow, confirmed with Face ID. That's it, no forms, no accounts. After payment, the video autoplays with no further taps.
Every scroll is a decision point. Each section of the landing page carries its own direct CTA to that same one-tap flow, so scrolling never has to end in a bounce.
A fallback that isn't a dead end. For visitors who won't pay, the secondary CTA pushes sharing instead, turning a non-donor into a distribution channel.
